In this post, we compare the specs of the Samsung Galaxy Grand with the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8. The Samsung Galaxy Grand is the 5-inch smartphone whereas the Galaxy Mega has an even bigger screen, 5.8-inches.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand runs on one of the latest version of the Android operating system, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The device also comes with Samsung TouchWiz UI pre-installed on it.

As of now, we do not have the official stats for battery backup, but we expect the device to give a considerable amount of talk time and standby time.
The dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy Grand are 143.5 x 76.9 x 9.6 mm whereas the dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 are 162.6 x 82.4 x 9 mm.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand weighs about 162 grams whereas the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 weighs about 182 grams.
As mentioned earlier, these smartphones have a very similar hardware configuration. Both these smartphones have a lot in common – they have a 1.4 GHz dual core processor, standard GPU, 8 GB of storage space, 8 MP primary camera and an almost identical secondary camera, and pixel density.
Ironically, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 is a ‘little bit’ slimmer than the Galaxy Grand but has a bigger battery and is a little heavier than the Galaxy Grand. Performance wise also, there will be a very little difference. In fact, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 seems to be an enlarged version of the Galaxy Grand.
